Readers Find The Novel, LOST LOVE Fascinating

Readers have found “Lost Love” exciting, unexpected twists and turns with a surprise finale. Stephen said, “I have written this book from the heart. When I come to the point of not knowing which way to go with the story, I would go into a meditated state, and as I came out the ideas would flow in my mind.”


The character Dale Youngblood has loose ends about his past. He must confront them so he can move on with his life. “A lot of people I have met in Florida talk about where they came from rather than what their plans are for tomorrow. Everyone has questions about the past, and must deal with them in their own way.”

Dale returns to find Diane in a mental institution. “Diane’s parents are the type that tries to mole their kids into something they believe should be. But Diane is rebellious and knows what she wants early in life. It’s not what her parent’s desire, so they clash for years. Diane cannot find a way out, and tries to take her own life. Diane is sent to the institution, where her parents are still in control.”

Dale is a good hearted person. He goes out of his way to help Diane, and seems to know how to deal with Diane’s stubborn personality. “Dale’s love for Diane has never diminished. He always let Diane go her own direction, from this the love and friendship grew. Dale also used his stubbornness to manipulate Diane so she would think and come to a conclusion.”

Now tell me about the character Janet. “Janet is an acquaintance from Dale’s night life before he moved away from his hometown. They became friends quickly and she helps Dale cope with all that Diane’s parents have to throw at him. Dale becomes the friend Janet has been hoping to find. This couple needs one another at this time. With thoughts of love, they do not realize how far this love will go.

This is a unique story. “It is not a unique story. It is a story of people searching, hoping, helping, and dealing with one of life’s lessons.

I very much enjoyed reading "Lost Love". The story was intriguing, and I connected with the main character, Dale. I did not expect the surprise ending either, it was both sad and happy about the way it did end.
